Wondrous stories have been told throughout the ages. Fairy tales and fables are reminiscent of old cultures and customs, of values and role models. They convey the worldviews of past generations and weave real life and fiction together in a fairytale-like way. Such stories were also told in the Turabdin (literally mountain of the servants of God). Unfortunately, the stories from our homeland get lost in the diaspora if we don't preserve them. In Germany lived an Aramaic woman, Meryem Çiçek be Muro (1937-2018). She could still tell stories from her childhood. There are three of those stories in this book. A story is from the collection of Ritter (1967). The stories have been edited by Simone Hanna in Aramaic and translated into German. BET KANU designed the beautiful illustrations. What is special about the stories is that they come from the Aramaic-speaking cultural area and can therefore contribute to the identity and value orientation of Aramaic-speaking children. With the help of a QR code, the stories can be received as an audio book.

    Features:

    • 4 children’s stories from the Turabdin Heritage in 1 book
    • Traditional stories for children
    • Each story contains a QR code, and when scanned with the BET KANU Reader application, it tells the story and shows the text and voice
    • The age of 6 to 14
